Method

Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour a 20cm (8-inch) round cake pan.

Melt the dark chocolate gently in a double boiler or microwave, then let it cool slightly.

In a bowl, whisk together eggs, sugar, vegetable oil, and vanilla until well combined.

Add the melted chocolate to the wet ingredients and mix thoroughly.
